Learn how to find and explore dental products in the Cicero Marketplace.
Accessing the Marketplace
The Marketplace is where you browse and order dental supplies for your clinic.
You can access it from:
- Direct navigation to the Marketplace URL
- Links from the Information System
- The Cicero landing page
Homepage Overview
The Marketplace homepage is your starting point for finding dental products. It features several key sections designed to help you discover what you need.
Search Bar
A prominent search bar at the top allows you to find products quickly. The search bar:
- Appears at the top of the page
- Supports real-time search suggestions as you type
- Searches by product name, manufacturer, MPN, or catalog number
- Shows product images, prices, and availability in results
Category Navigation
Browse products by category using the expandable category tiles:
- Level 0 Categories: Main product categories displayed as tiles
- Subcategories: Hover over a category to see subcategories
- Deep Navigation: Click through to reach specific product types
Categories display with:
- Category icons
- Category names
- Chevron indicators showing subcategory availability
Product Carousels
The homepage features curated product sections:
Cicero Recommends Curated product recommendations selected for quality and value.
Trending Now Popular products across the platform based on user activity.
Each carousel allows horizontal scrolling through featured products.
Featured Suppliers
View featured suppliers on the platform with:
- Supplier logos
- Supplier names
- Quick access to supplier product catalogs
Contact Section
Access support and contact information for assistance.
Browsing by Category
Category Page Features
Each category page displays:
- Breadcrumb Navigation: Track your location in the category hierarchy
- Category Title: Current category name
- Subcategory Grid: Further category refinement options
- Product Grid: Products within the category
- Filtering Options: Narrow down results
Navigating Categories
- On the homepage, view the category tiles
- Hover over a category to preview subcategories
- Click a category to navigate to its page
- Use subcategories to drill down further
- Products appear when you reach a leaf category
Searching for Products
Using the Search Bar
- Click the search bar or start typing
- Enter your search query (minimum 2 characters)
- Results appear as you type in a dropdown
- Click a result to view the product detail page
Search Capabilities
You can search by:
- Product Name: Full or partial product titles
- Manufacturer/Brand: Company names
- MPN (Manufacturer Part Number): Exact part numbers
- Catalog Number: Cicero catalog identifiers
Search Results
Each search result shows:
- Product thumbnail image
- Product title
- MPN and catalog number
- Manufacturer name
- Price range (if available)
- Education indicator (if related courses exist)
- Stock quantity (if in your clinic inventory)
Barcode Scanning
On mobile devices, you can scan product barcodes:
- Tap the scan icon (when available)
- Point camera at product barcode
- Product page opens automatically if found
Product Cards
Throughout the Marketplace, products display as cards showing:
- Product Image: High-quality product photo
- Title: Product name with manufacturer
- Price: Current pricing or price range
- Availability: Stock status indicators
- Add to Cart: Quick add functionality
- Wishlist Button: Save for later
Product Detail Page
Click any product to see comprehensive details:
Product Information
- Image Gallery: Multiple product photos with zoom
- Title and Description: Full product details
- Technical Specifications: Product specifications
- Manufacturer Information: Brand details and logo
- MPN and Catalog Numbers: Product identifiers
Supplier Options
Compare offerings from multiple suppliers:
- Supplier List: All suppliers carrying this product
- Price Comparison: Side-by-side pricing
- Stock Availability: Real-time stock status per supplier
- Delivery Information: Shipping estimates
- VIP Pricing: Special discounts for VIP customers
Product Actions
- Add to Cart: Select supplier and quantity, then add
- Add to Wishlist: Save product for later purchase
- View Related Products: Similar product suggestions
Education Tab
If educational content is available for the product:
- Related courses and videos
- Training materials
- Usage guides
Wishlist
Save products for later consideration or purchase.
Adding to Wishlist
- Click the heart/wishlist icon on any product card
- Or click "Add to Wishlist" on the product detail page
- Product is saved to your clinic's wishlist
Viewing Wishlist
- Navigate to Wishlist in the navigation menu
- View all saved products with:
- Product image and details
- MPN and manufacturer
- Stock status
- Who added the item
- Adjust quantities as needed
- Choose supplier and add to cart
- Remove items individually or all at once
Wishlist Features
- Quantity Management: Adjust quantities with +/- buttons
- Supplier Selection: Choose from available suppliers when adding to cart
- Bulk Actions: Remove all items at once
- Team Visibility: See who added each item
Suppliers
Viewing All Suppliers
- Navigate to Suppliers in the menu
- Browse the complete list of available suppliers
- Use tabs to filter:
- All: View all suppliers
- Match (VIP tab): View suppliers with VIP relationships to your clinic
Supplier Profiles
Click a supplier to view their profile:
- Company Information: About the supplier
- Logo and Branding: Supplier identity
- Product Catalog: Browse their complete inventory
- Contact Details: How to reach them
- Delivery Information: Shipping policies
Becoming a Supplier
If you're interested in becoming a supplier:
- Navigate to the Suppliers page
- Click "Become a Supplier" in the alert banner
- Follow the supplier onboarding process
Catalog Page
Access the full product catalog:
- Navigate to Catalog in the menu
- View all categories in a comprehensive grid
- Browse featured suppliers
- Use the search bar for quick product lookup
Stock Integration
If you have the Information System connected, the Marketplace shows your clinic inventory:
Stock Indicators
When searching or viewing products:
- Green Badge: Product is in your clinic stock
- Stock Count: Number of units available
- Low Stock Warning: Red text when below minimum quantity
Quick Stock Access
Click the stock indicator to:
- View item in your clinic inventory
- Check detailed stock information
- Access the Information System drawer
Permissions
Your access to Marketplace features depends on your clinic permissions:

| Edit Cart | Add items and place orders |
Without appropriate permissions, you'll see disabled buttons or be redirected to the homepage.
Currency and Pricing
Currency Selection
- Prices can be displayed in your preferred currency
- Exchange rates are updated regularly
- Select currency from the header dropdown
Price Display
Products show:
- Price Range: "From X to Y" when multiple suppliers
- Single Price: When one supplier or same pricing
- VIP Pricing: Discounted prices for VIP customers
